Very well maintained trail. About halfway through you get to the Hobbit trailhead, there is a parking area there as well. The Heceta Head Trail is centrally located in the Siuslaw National Forest just north of Heceta Head and 10 miles south of Cape Perpetua. Great views of the lighthouse and surrounding coastlines and Hobbit Beach is stunning. After exploring Hobbit Beach, you will take Hobbit Trail back to the sign at the trailhead, and head up the hill to Heceta Head Lighthouse.
